Altervista's cooking blogs complement Mondadori Digital's food offering, alongside the GialloZafferano network.

• Maintain and extend a proprietary plugin pre-installed across Altervista's WordPress installations, tailoring the platform for editorial and food-blogging use in line with WordPress development best practices
• Develop backend features in PHP and frontend in JavaScript and Gutenberg blocks, with unit tests covering part of the plugin's functionality

Digital media brands

Mondadori Digital's portfolio of media brands spans several verticals, including GialloZafferano (food), MyPersonalTrainer (health and wellness) and Studenti.it (education).

• Own backend development end to end, gathering requirements from the project manager and product team and authoring the functional and technical specifications
• Develop and maintain applications built on a proprietary PHP MVC framework with Smarty server-side templating; newer portals use a Next.js single-page frontend maintained by a dedicated frontend team
• Design and develop the backend REST APIs consumed by the single-page applications
• Implement asynchronous processing on Amazon SQS with cron-scheduled jobs and manage file storage on Amazon S3

Development and maintenance of a dealer portal for a US multinational leader in material-handling solutions.

• Built new full-stack features on the portal's microservices platform (Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, TypeORM, MySQL) with a React frontend and Keycloak authentication, delivering modules such as lead management, notifications and order-complaint handling
• Maintained the legacy catalog/configurator built on a custom PHP 8 MVC architecture (no framework) with MySQL and an AngularJS frontend, covering product configuration, quoting and ordering
